Who We Are:
We are a group that supports the National Trust, particularly in the Harrogate and Yorkshire Dales areas, and aim to bring together people with similar interests for a wide range of activities. We have been in existence since 1978 and are funded by a small annual membership fee and by individual fees for different events. Since we are a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus at the end of the year is donated to local National Trust properties and estates.
Please contact us for more information via our contact page, while details of how to apply for membership are explained here (opens in a new tab).
What We Do:
We organise a wide range of activities. These include day trips to interesting sites (normally but not exclusively NT), holidays, walks, talks, meals and other social activities throughout the year. Brief details of all our forthcoming activities are listed on here (opens in a new tab) and you can read about some of our recent events here.
AGM and Constitution
The 2025 AGM took place at Holy Trinity Church in Ripon on Saturday, 26th April. More information about the AGM can be found on the “Members Information” page here; among other things, the latest version of our constitution was ratified at the AGM and can be viewed here
Another key activity at the AGM was to officially appoint a new President because the current President, Maurice H. Taylor, has been ill for some time and so the Committee have offered him the post of Vice President in recognition of his long service to the Association, but without requiring active input.
