A Garden Visit by kind invitation of Mrs Holliday
The date 1635 over the door set the scene – the year Rubens was painting in London. The house was returned to its near original state in the 1980s and the gardens developed as ‘rooms’ with a pergola, pond and stream, sheltered by old stone walls and a long beech hedge overlooking superb views of Nidderdale. Many roses, and some unusual plants. And there was cake! A great afternoon!
